We are pleased to present the annual report of Alfa College. In this report, we show the ways in which we have collaborated with others to realize our strategic goals and the results achieved.
We base this on our strategic policy "Together, We Figure It Out," in which we focus, along with our students, staff, and partners, on achieving our three strategic statements:
- Together, we develop the talent of every student.
- Together, we work towards a strong region.
- Together, we create a better world.
We look back on a year in which we have made significant strides to strengthen the quality and continuity of Alfa College in the region, such as:
- The launch of DNA Next, the joint sales organization for Lifelong Learning (LLL) by DC Terra, Noorderpoort, and Alfa College
- The opening of the Textile Hub, an innovative and creative incubator in Groningen focused on making the textile industry more sustainable
- The development of Learning Qualifications for our all-round demolition course in Hoogeveen/Hardenberg; a new and innovative form of examination where the LLL student demonstrates mastery of the craft by collecting evidence
- The steps we have taken in developing suitable and logical learning pathways for every student, including multiple entry points per year
- The annual theme "Better Together," through which we stand against the increasingly individualizing and polarizing society.
We are proud of our program "Intercultural Coach - Educational Assistant," which has won the Dutch Education Prize 2024.
All of this has been made possible thanks to the dedication of our staff, our students, and our partners, along with the excellent educational results.
Our activities are not merely an end in themselves but serve a higher purpose: creating added value for our students, the region, and the world. We are therefore proud of the very good educational results! We remain committed to contemporary and relevant vocational education in our region, where collaboration and innovation are central. Together, we figure it out!
