Life Long Learning

A Lifetime of Learning: Growing Together for the Region

Together, we are working towards a strong region. We do this by developing an accessible LLO offering focused on strengthening the regional job market by retraining and upskilling people. The region benefits from a strong vocational education that closely collaborates with businesses and other partners to tackle the current societal challenges. With LLO, we transfer knowledge to the community and support the development of the regional job market.

Key Focus in Vocational Education

We see it as our public duty to develop the regional job market and contribute to it through our social mission. We believe that everyone should be able to continue developing themselves. Lifelong Learning is therefore a key focus within vocational education. We encourage people to take charge of their own careers and lives. We achieve this by working together.

Our goal for 2024 was: 'An LLO offering developed by our own staff (including updates to regular education) that meets the market and regional demand, is evaluated positively by participating LLO students, and positively contributes to non-public revenue.' Based on the facts and figures below, we have succeeded in this. We aim to be a financially healthy LLO provider with as much social impact in the region as possible; we utilize the LLO Catalyst to achieve this goal.

DNA Next

We develop our LLO offerings within DNA Next. In 2024, we worked hard to further expand and professionalize DNA Next. This has led to impressive results, including: The launch of the digital portal for the Groningen, Drenthe, and Northeast Overijssel region - DNA Next, the vocational trainer for companies and adults.

The execution of various external marketing campaigns to increase the name recognition and visibility of DNA Next among companies, employees, job seekers, and job market organizations. The consolidation and improvement of the current LLO offerings for the sectors of Technology, Health & Welfare, and ICT/Next Business, and the development of new training programs that meet regional market demand: from three ROC's to one offering at DNA Next.

The formation of a joint relationship management team at DNA Next that works closely with the field to provide customized solutions for LLO issues. Within the DNA Next team, various expertise areas are represented, such as marketing and communication, relationship management, and the front office.
